The Colour Party is the official flag group of the Coquitlam Legion. The Colour Party stands for the traditions of our military and carries the flags with reverence and pride. It is made up of volunteer members who represent the Legion at various functions and events. The Colour Party, led by the branch Sergeant at Arms, has been involved in parades such as Port Coquitlam parade, the Hyack festival and Anzac Day. The Colour Party has also represented the Legion with affiliated American Legions in Washington State.
The Colour Party has been honoured to represent the branch at funerals of some of our members. Remembrance Day is the most solemn of days in which the Colour Party takes part. Leading the parade to the Cenotaph for the ceremonies and laying of the wreaths the Colour Party provides the best in tradition in support of the Honour Guard. From the Cenotaph the Colour Party Leads the parade back to the Legion for continued ceremonies in Remembrance of our Veterans.
The Colour Party is always looking for members of branch 263 who might want to join. Please contact our Sergeant at Arms Sean O’Neill.
